At the Builder's Blocks website and on Comcast, you can see video presentations of the work they do, the service they provide, and hear what the builder/remodeler has to say and start to get a feel for them and the providers they use. You get to see each building block that makes up the whole.

There are many people that are used by a contractor to build or remodel a home. And the same is true for most Landscapers. Not only do they have their own crews, but depending upon the job requirements, they often times bring in outside subcontractors that have special skill. Then together they provide the sum of all the pieces as your projects comes to completion.

2. And what about the windows? Understand what they actually do for the efficiency of the home.
3. Landscaping can be an important enhancement to any home giving it that finished look.
4. Texture can add so much to the elegance of a home and bring it that unique touch that makes your home truly special.
5. Siding can often be important to the life of a home and proper installation is critical.
6. The cement work can add the final touch that brings your guests to your home. How will they enter? What will they see as they approach your home? Will that entry present your home in the best light?

I know, everything starts with the design so why would we list it last? The identified elements that are listed here are only the beginning. We haven't even ventured inside. But it is important to understand what is being considered in your design even before you meet with the architect. Between the architect and the builder/remodeler and, of course, you; your home goes from paper to build to finished luxury and comfort and it is important that you understand each step of the way
Getting a sense for how the builder works with you and its subcontractors can be very helpful in getting a feel for how they will work with you. And don't think that isn't very imporant! Just ask anyone that has worked with a home builder or home remodeler in the past. Like anything, you need to careful and do your homework.
